What are we studying?
We are interested to learn more about how you perceive and process your own emotions as well as being curious about your experiences of understanding other people’s emotions.

Why are we researching this?
FND means that there is a problem with the functioning of the nervous system and how the brain and body send and receive signals.
Over the years, FND has been called in many ways
(e.g. Functional Movement Disorder, Conversion Disorder, Dissociative Neurological Symptom
Disorder, etc).
We would like to delve deeper into how people with FND understand and manage their own emotions and those of others. This is crucial because by exploring these aspects, the study can shed light on a critical area of FND that is not well-understood yet.
What would I need to do?
We will ask participants to complete a series of questionnaires and task online.
This is expected to take about 30-40 minutes of your time.
We Are Looking for people:
With FND diagnoses provided by medical professionals
Aged 18 and over
Fluent in English
Have no diagnosis of psychosis. bipolar or personality disorders.
